I’M NEW TO YOGA, WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

We are so excited for you to join us! Hydration is incredibly important for classes (especially those that are heated!). Bring a water bottle to class and try not to eat a large meal before. Dress comfortably in moisture-wicking clothing that allows for movement.

If it is your first class, come with a playful mindset! Setting up your mat in the middle or back of the room will allow you to watch others and can assist in your flow until you learn the names of the postures (our teachers use both English and Sanskrit).

HOW HOT DOES THE ROOM GET?

Heated classes are around 98 degrees and humid (no, not the 90’s band). The humidity allows for comfortable breathing and keeps the room from feeling too dry. The practice space is also equipped with a built in fan for ventilation as well as windows for fresh air and circulation. Get to know your teachers at BYP as some enjoy a warmer room than others. And if the room is fuller, temperatures will also reflect that !

DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS?

We have ONE shower and ask that showers after class be quick so others can use the bathroom and amenity as well.

HOW EARLY SHOULD I SHOW UP? WHAT IF I’M LATE?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class starts. If you are not checked in at least 5 minutes prior, your spot may be given away to students on the waitlist.

Unfortunately, late entry will not be permitted and we do not have a desk staff to allow for entry. Teachers do start on time!

SHOULD I BRING A YOGA MAT?

Yes. Bring your own mat and towels. We have rentals available as well for mats and towels. Each are $2.

WHAT DO I DO IF I AM ON THE WAITLIST?

Make sure that all Mindbody and BYP emails are not marked as spam! Mindbody will send an email if you bumped from the waitlist, but your best bet is always to show up to class!

As spots open from students with last minute cancellations or no shows, waitlisted clients are moved into class. You will still be subject to our cancellation policy and no show policy if you get bumped into class and do not show.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

We ask that you please cancel at least 24 hours before class starts. Your class will be returned to your account to use on a future date. The class will not be refunded.

A late cancellation (less than 24 hours before class) will result in a deduction of the class from your account. No-shows without cancellation will be charged a $10 penalty and will result in a deduction of the class from your account.

For monthly members and unlimited pass-holders, late cancellation of a class will result in a $10 charge.

ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?

Classes and packages are non-refundable. New Student Packages do expire, but all other packages do not! We encourage you to purchase a pack and keep flowing with us. Monthly Unlimited packages do not auto-renew, so be sure to re-up your month when you are ready!

Please turn off your cell phones and keep them stored In the lobby. Our practice space is screen-free.

We are not responsible for lost items or items left at the studio, so please refrain from bringing valuables with you. We do have a lost in found at the studio for items left behind. If a valuable, check in with the desk as we may have it in safe keeping!
