Join Linda Perkins and Jessica Weiss for this 3-part workshop series centered on creating harmony and building community. Take one, two or all three!
Each workshop is devoted to a set of paired organs and begins with a description of its physiological role in the body. We’ll discuss the organ’s meridian energy patterns and explore yoga sequences - both yin and yang, passive and active - that support the health of these organ territories. Heart & Small Intestine will delve into our overall well-being -- our beating drum, along with our creativity -- turning garbage (broken down food) into gold (vital nutrients). Bladder & Kidney take on the performer -- the cleansing and cathartic energy of being "splashy", and the deep listener -- the patience to really hear your own deep wisdom as well as the thoughts of others. The Lung & Large Intestine examine our leadership qualities -- how we use our "wind", and our our ability to complete tasks -- knowing what to save (essential minerals) and what to let go of (waste) to avoid metaphoric or real constipation.
Creating harmony within begins with understanding ourselves, and this is the first step towards building a compassionate community. Join us and learn how to be your own body detective.
