For 11 weekends starting October 20th - February 18th (with a break from Thanksgiving through the New Year), you'll immerse yourself in the 8 Limbs of Yoga, its history and connection to our modern lives, learn anatomy, physiology, asana alignment, sequencing, be guided through led meditations and gain a greater understanding of Self. Ayurveda is known as the sister science to yoga just as Acupuncture is of Tai Chi and Qigong. It is both a complimentary health science and a holistic lifestyle. In general, people turn to yoga to reduce stress while they take care and connect to their bodies; Ayurveda helps supports those goals while heightening one's internal awareness of their mind, body and spirit. This workshop will provide a basic overview of Ayurvedic philosophy, how it correlates to yoga, and tips on how to move, eat, and live according to one's unique constitution. 

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal, and pen. No prior yoga knowledge necessary.

Chaturanga dandasana is that dreaded pose that comes between plank and upward facing dog. It's the pose that may hurt your shoulders, that you swoop through as a transition, or that you skillfully bypass in hopes that the teacher doesn't notice. Or maybe you LOVE chaturanga!
Whatever your relationship is to the pose, this 90 minute workshop with Meg McNeal will go over the principles of alignment in chaturanga, the "trifecta of integration" that can unlock the secret to a sustainable chaturanga and other poses (like inversions), and the art of jumping back during your vinyasa practice.

Join Braxton and Allegra on Sunday July 10th from 2pm-4pm for a 2 hour workshop exploring Arm Balancing and Inversions. By taking a deeper look at the biomechanics of the arms and torso, we will bring light to the structure of the upper body to create stability. We will explore: Handstand (adho mukha virasana), Headstand (sirsasana), Forearm Stand (pincha mayurasana) and Crow/Crane (bakasana). All levels welcome!
